Get to Know Us
Lutheran Church of Hope launched in West Des Moines, Iowa, in 1994. In 2022, it was named the fastest-growing church in America by Outreach magazine. This includes six campus locations and numerous local sites (smaller gatherings of people worshiping together) across the Midwest. It is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America focused on biblical literacy and a deep faith in God.

Hope’s core values, vision and mission to reach out to the world around us and share the everlasting love of Jesus Christ is at the center of everything we do. This is not our church — this is God’s church. We’re just called to take good care of it while we’re here!

Our Leadership Team and Church Council are here to shape and guide the vision at Lutheran Church of Hope. We are a church of individuals, different in many ways, called together by God to be one in ministry and mission.
Where It All Began
Lutheran Church of Hope began in the early 1990s and has been touched by God in ways we never imagined. While the past 25+ years have been filled with great adventure and miraculous growth, we believe the most exciting days are ahead for this church!
