Building God's Children with Love and Discipline

Through an interactive discussion, this study will investigate child-rearing challenges and offer practical and goal-oriented solutions each week for participants to put into practice within their families. As a group we will investigate proven discipline techniques centered on God and love to help us as parents guide our children and change difficult behaviors.

What to expect: Gather with other parents to problem solve a variety of issues that parents face. The class will create its own group priority list to determine what behaviors will be studied and how to change them within their families. The strategies covered in the study are taken from proven behavioral therapy techniques and research. Class participants will learn techniques from the following resources and authors: “Love & Logic” materials, Dr. Kevin Lehman, Mark Gregston, Dr. Tim Kimmel, “1-2-3 Magic”, and information from research-based behavior programs and ABA behavior programs (functional behavior techniques). The class facilitator will be Aly Halley. The study is open to new participants to join at any time.
