Care Ministry

Carecore Ministry
The Carecore consists of trained care ministers who provide support and spiritual guidance to people who are in need. After completing twenty-five hours of training, care ministers are commissioned for service.
Care ministers are paired with care receivers on a one-to-one basis, matching men with men and women with women. Receivers may be experiencing a variety of challenges such as loss of job, grief, loneliness, depression, health concerns or other stresses. All information is kept confidential and may be short- or long-term.
An expanding part of the Carecore ministry is monthly worship services at assisted living facilities in the metro area. The services which include the offering of communion are held at Courtyard Estates in Bondurant, Legacy Pointe in Waukee and Gardens at Luther Park.
Care ministers meet once a month for mutual support and encouragement. Continuing education opportunities and fellowship gatherings are offered throughout the year. An annual retreat provides growth, renewal and of course fun!
Carecore training
Hope's Carecore is made up of Care Ministers who complete a 25-hour training program to provide Christian support and spiritual guidance to people on a one-on-one basis who are going through a difficult time for a variety of reasons.
