The Hope Circle

“And the seed that fell on good soil represents those who hear and accept God’s word and produce a harvest of thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times as much as had been planted!” Mark 4:20 (New Living Translation)

From Jesus’ perspective, there are three things growing Christians do: hear, accept and produce. Hearing the Word creates faith (Romans 8).

Accepting the Word means we will also trust in Jesus as Lord, not just Savior.
Producing a harvest of extraordinary result is what Jesus lays out as the end result of Christian growth.

Jesus calls for the first to be last -- the greatest among us is the chief servant.

Seeker: You seek answers to the big questions of life, looking for meaning and purpose. You want spirituality to make sense, and wonder about God. You might view religion with healthy skepticism, but also hold open your heart and mind to the possibility that Jesus could be the way, truth, and life for you.

Believer: You believe Jesus is your Savior. You have heard the good news of God’s free gift of salvation through faith in Jesus, and you trust this grace is for you and all who believe. You know Jesus’ death and resurrection means that your sins are forgiven and your death has been destroyed. You develop a deeper desire to worship and grow in your relationship with God.

Follower: You follow Jesus as your Lord. You accept him as your leader and moral guide, and trust his will. You welcome God into your daily life, and experience the blessings that come from allowing your Creator to define and shape you, and fill you with his Holy Spirit. You regularly exhibit the fruits of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, kindness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control.

Servant Leader: You are ‘all-in’ with God, and lead others to the light of God’s love as a fully committed servant of Jesus. You surrender daily to God’s will, looking for opportunities to love, serve, and make Christ known in the world. You know your spiritual gifts, consistently and joyfully sharing them for the glory of God, and for the sake of producing an extraordinary harvest for his Kingdom.
